Introducing Joy House’s first official commercial project – an amazing woman-owned, independent bookstore, Tidal Pages! My client was such a pleasure to work with and I really enjoyed helping bring her vision to life. Being located in downtown Ipswich, a well-known seaside town, the goal was to have the interior exude a warm & inviting atmosphere while also giving a playful nod to the sea, without being overt. Joy House engaged two local artists to paint custom murals and signage in the store, while a talented carpenter built our custom designed check-out desk. The back of the store is a multipurpose event space that will host private events, birthday parties, and other locally owned business pop-ups. Design services included spatial layouts for the store,  material sourcing, lighting, furniture, area rugs, custom millwork and artwork, and on-site coordination through construction.
